Problems in Interior Schools
Discipline problem is very widespread in present society. Some of these problems are absenteeism, late to class, bullying and smoking. Teachers that are posted in an interior area have to face this challenge and effort to overcome this problem.
The problem for teachers that are posted in interior schools is low English Proficiency among the children. As we know, rural school students lack of knowledge in English Language. Unlike urban students that are exposed to the language and even use it as their language at home. As an English teacher, I have to make additional class to improve English Language Proficiency. In addition, an effort that can I do by make English month. In this month, students are required to follow each of the activities organized and must use the English Language as medium of communication.
In addition, most of the students are absent on Monday is also a problem at interior school. As a teacher, the solution for this problem is we have to custom learning on Monday. For example, subject on Monday is enjoying subject like music, art, and PJK. As we know, students at the interior area are enjoy their weekend with playing and many more, so to ensure that they attend the school at Monday, we should try to change the subject that they do not like with the subject which can make them enjoy the class. On the other hand, we can also give them a gift as a rewards if they have full attendance.
Besides that, parent who did not care about their children's achievement is also among the problems faced by teachers who teach in rural areas. To overcome this problem, the day with their parents may be held at the end of each semester to enable teachers and parents talk about their children's achievements. In addition, parents should be encouraged to attend events such as motivational talks to make them realize of the importance of education among their children.
In conclusion, the ways or actions that had been listed can help the community to overcome the discipline problem especially in the interior area.

Task 2: Reflection from the video: The Oprah Winfrey show (farewell).
Q: The best scene (that you find interesting):
A: We think that, all of the scenes in the episode is the best especially the scene where a daughter consoled her mother. It shows that we are not alone. There is someone who cares for us, who even loves us more than we can ever imagine.
Q: One quote that you like best:
A: "you are responsible for your life"
During the show, Oprah said these word (quote) again and again. And it makes us realise that, YES! We are responsible for our life. Not only for the money that we have or even the family that we love but it is all about our whole life. We have to be responsible for it.
The other quote that we like best is "when you know better, you do better". We agree with the quote very much. As a teacher will be, there are lots of things that we have to learn in order to be a better person especially in order to be a better teacher one day. We believe that, if we have the skill and the knowledge, we will do better.
